VPN stuck on "Connecting…"

The first time you start capture after installing HTTPGlass, the network extension generates a root certificate and warms up its TLS engine. That takes a second or two, longer on an older device. During that window, HTTPS traffic is relayed untouched, neither decrypted nor logged, instead of blocking your connection.

  1. Wait 5 to 10 seconds. Most “stuck connecting” reports clear on their own once the one-time warm-up finishes.
  2. Check the VPN toggle in iOS Settings. If HTTPGlass shows Connected there but the app still says “Connecting”, relaunch the app. That’s a status-sync issue, not a broken tunnel.
  3. Remove and re-add the profile if it’s still stuck after a minute: tap Remove VPN Profile in Settings › VPN, then Install VPN Profile and start capture again.

This shouldn’t happen, because blind relay is the fallback that exists to prevent it. If it does, turn off the VPN toggle in iOS Settings › General › VPN & Device Management to restore your connection, then contact support with the app and iOS version.
